Yukon Jack

Help the love of our lives Yukon Jack Foley to walk again.

yukonliam.gif

Our beautiful Yukon who is 7 years old Siberian husky has torn ligaments in both his back knees and cannot walk. He is in pain every day. Yukon needs Bilateral ACL replacement surgery on both his hind legs in order to walk and play again with his family mates.

This is a very intense surgery which costs a small fortune. We love him very much and he is an important part of our family life. Our 9 months old baby Liam used to ride on his back and now the two can’t share that sentiment because Yukon can’t walk.

We are looking for your help in giving Yukon another chance in walking, playing with his brothers Dewars and Guinness, and chasing his favorite cat Spanky around the house.

Please donate whatever you can to help us help pay for Yukon’s surgery. And check back often for updates on his status. Thank you.

Surgery #1 Print E-mail
Yukon had his first surgery on Friday May 13th and the doctors are very happy with the results and would like to see him back in 6 weeks.  Yukon has to be off his feet for those 6 weeks to make sure he does not hurt his knee again.  We moved Yukon’s crate into our living room where he’d be more comfortable and be around his family.

liam_yukon_051511.jpgYukon was very happy to be home.  Dewars was all over him giving him kisses and talking to him.  Guinness as an alpha male came and sniffed him in appreciation that he was ok and doing well.  They missed him very much.  On Sunday when Liam woke up he was very excited to see Yukon.  His giggles and laughs were priceless.  He wanted to snuggle and play with him, so we let them sit together on the living room floor and catch up.  Yukon was happy to give kisses to Liam and Liam was happy to snuggle up next to him.  The recovery is going to be very difficult and long, but we as friends and family will help Yukon to get back on his feet together.

Come  back to see how Yukon is doing in 6 weeks.  Thank you for all your help.
